Conversions Count in DV360

In DV360, conversions are tracked based on impressions and clicks within specified windows. Here are some key scenarios:

Scenario 4 – Impressions Only, Last Impression Wins:

πŸ’  March 1: Impression
πŸ’  March 3: Impression
πŸ’  March 4: Impression
πŸ’  March 5: Impression
πŸ”– March 10: Conversion

Result:
πŸ–οΈ No click, so no PostClickConversion.
πŸ–οΈ Conversion on March 10th is within 10 days of the last impression on March 5th, so it’s counted as a PostViewConversion.

Scenario 5 – Impressions Only, Outside the Conversion Window:

πŸ’  March 1: Impression
πŸ’  March 2: Impression
πŸ’  March 3: Impression
πŸ”– March 15: Conversion
πŸ’  March 18: Impression

Result:
πŸ–οΈ No click, so no PostClickConversion.
πŸ–οΈ Conversion on March 15th falls outside the 10-day window of the last impression (March 3rd + 10 days = March 13th).
πŸ–οΈ No PostViewConversion recorded.

Scenario 6 – Impressions and Clicks Outside the Conversion Windows:

πŸ’  March 1: Impression
πŸ’  March 3: Click
πŸ’  March 4: Impression
πŸ”– March 20: Conversion
πŸ’  March 23: Impression

Result:
πŸ–οΈ The conversion on March 20th is outside both the 15-day window for the last click (March 3rd + 15 days = March 18th) and the 10-day window for the last impression (March 4th + 10 days = March 14th).
πŸ–οΈ No PostClickConversion or PostViewConversion recorded.

Conversion Window in CM360 and DV360:

  • Shorter Conversion Window: The effective window will be the shorter of the two (either CM360 or DV360).

  • For example, if the window in DV360 is shorter than in CM360, DV360’s window will apply, and vice versa.
